About our church.

Meheret Evangelical Church, established in the late 1990s, serves the Ethiopian and Eritrean communities in Kitchener, Ontario, with services conducted in Amharic and English. The congregation has grown significantly, starting from four founding families to approximately 175 members by 2020.

The church is located at 456 Krug Street, Kitchener, ON N2B 1L1, and is led by Pastor Yared Seretse. It emphasizes discipleship and leadership development and offers various programs, including Sunday worship services, midweek prayer meetings, and women’s ministry gatherings. Meheret Evangelical Church also engages in global outreach, supporting initiatives like Bright World for Blind Women in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and partnering with local churches to support missionaries in northern Ethiopia.
